6 on Health: E. coli outbreak linked to romaine lettuce and leafy greens
An E. coli outbreak is now being linked to leafy greens and romaine lettuce.
Centers for Disease Control officials say E-coli made 17 people across 13 states sick in November and December of last year.
So far, one person has died.
CDC officials say the source of the infection is still unknown, but signs are pointing to romaine lettuce and leafy greens.
The CDC is still investigating the outbreak.
Canada has been struck with an outbreak caused by the same strain of E. coli.
People there became sick in early November to early December.
