6 on Health: Cheese and your health

A new study indicates that a little bit of cheese might be good for you.

The study found that people who ate small amounts of cheese daily were less likely to have a stroke or develop heart disease than those who abstained or ate it rarely.

The data showed a 14-percent drop in the chances of getting heart disease for people who ate lots of cheese.

And, a 10-percent drop in the chances of having a stroke compared to those who never ate cheese or ate it rarely.

Those who got the most benefit were eating just under an ounce-and-a-half a day.
