Restaurant Report: March 21, 2014
KFDM News - KFDM News - Roaches, untrained cooks and dirty ice machines were just a
few of the problems inspectors found at Hardin County restaurants.
We've got the highs and lows in this week's Restaurant Report Card.
begin with Senor Toro on South Main in Lumberton. Inspector Kellum
noticed an improper scoop for the hot sauce, the lights were out in the
walk in cooler and the vents needed to be cleaned. Senor Toro gets an

be cleaned. The drain area had an odor and also needed to be cleaned.

Now onto Kotoyama in South Main
in Lumberton. The walk in cooler was in need of a light shield and test
strips were needed for sanitizing the water. The ice machine also
needed to be cleaned. Kotoyama in Lumberton gets a 90.
from there inspectors check out Dairy Queen on North Main in Lumberton.
The vents over the fryer station needed to be cleaned. The ice bin had
food stored in it which is a violation of good hygenic practices and the
walk in cooler was not working and needed to be repaired. Dairy Queen
in Lumberton gets a 90.
And finally, inspector Kellum visits Hot
Wok on North LHS Drive in Lumberton. The cook was not up on food
training, an exterminator needed to be called for monthly sprays and the
surfaces of the equipment needed to be cleaned and sanitized. Hot Wok
in Lumberton gets a 91.
