Attorney: Beaumont bombing suspect treated for PTSD
Jonathan Torres spent 12 years in the military, serving in the Marine Corp and U.S. Army, and was being treated for PTSD, according to Torres' lawyer, Ryan Gertz.
"PTSD and variety of other things from his time in the military," says Gertz.
Gertz told KFDM News after Torres waived his right to a preliminary trial that the veteran may not have gotten the treatment from the Department of Veteran Affairs he needed.
"He served nine years in the Marine Corp overseas, was honorably discharged and later signed back up again at the same rank, but this time, with the U.S. Army," says Gertz.
Torres is currently back in U.S. custody, he has not been indicted on any charges.
