BEAUMONT, Texas (KFDM) - Detectives say they have been told by a credible witness that a 22-year-old Beaumont, Texas man shot and killed 19-year-old Kera Teel last week.

Teel was seven months pregnant and her baby, Kyndal Jae Teel, died shortly after emergency delivery.

Jared Javon Bias, 22, faces a capital murder charge in the killings, according to a probable cause affidavit obtained by KFDM 6 News.

Investigators had been trying to link a series of incidents from the early morning hours of June 6, when Teel was gunned down at the Sienna Trail Apartments.

Community donations over the past week reached more than $21,000 as the reward for pertinent information.

Information eventually led investigators to Lake Charles, where they found 17-year-old Atayanna Douglas.

Douglas is believed to have been at the murder scene and police say she named three others involved in the shooting.

Bias was identified as the shooter, the affidavit states.
