A 2-year-old boy was flown to Hermann Memorial Hospital in Houston after he was found floating face-down in his grandparents' swimming pool near Santa Fe, Galveston County Sheriff's officials announced Friday in a news release.

The sheriff's office received a call Friday morning from 32nd Street, where they found the grandparents administering CPR to the child, according to the news release.

EMS arrived and called for the boy to be flown to Hermann Memorial.

The grandfather told investigators he put a movie on around 7:30 a .m. for the boy to watch. The grandfather says he walked away and when he returned, the boy was missing.

Both grandparents immediately searched the backyard, according to the news release.

The grandmother found the toddler floating face-down in their pool.
