Deputies: Port Neches man shoved spoon down 2-year-old's mouth; child rushed to hospital
A Port Neches man was arrested after, deputies say, he shoved a spoon down a toddler's mouth, beat his girlfriend and barricaded himself inside his apartment.
Deputies responded to the apartment and tell KFDM/Fox that witnesses say 27-year-old Ibrahim Miguel Rios shoved a spoon down a two year old's mouth, blocking off the little boy's airway and making him bleed.
Paramedics transported the child to Texas Children's Hospital in Houston.
Rios' girlfriend told investigators that Rios punched her in the face multiple times.
She was taken to the hospital.
Rios is charged with a first degree felony for injury to a child.
