Four teens in custody after Vidor Police respond to gunfire

The Vidor Police Department has four teens in custody after investigating a report of a shot being fired Friday morning.

Investigators responded to a call they received about a possible overnight car burglary.

That's when they heard a shot fired from the 600 block of Bolivar. They responded and found an 18-year-old, two 16-year-old individuals and a 14-year-old they believe to be involved.

The investigation led officers to several pistols and shotguns which may be connected with other burglaries reported overnight.

Three pistols have been returned to owners. One gun remains at Vidor PD. All four teenagers are in custody.

Police in Orange and Jasper counties are also investigating possible connections and say others may be involved.
