Grocery stores crowded ahead of winter storm
Sub-freezing temperatures and possible snow prompted many Southeast Texans to hit grocery stores.
HEB on Dowlen in Beaumont was much busier than usual Monday ahead of the storm, a manager told KFDM News.
Lines extended down the aisles, despite every register being open.
Many stocked up on food, soup and ingredients for gumbo, while others grabbed logs for their fireplaces.
