Huge drywall delivery to Rose City to help residents continue to rebuild after Harvey
ROSE CITY —
Rose City has been through so much since Harvey, almost every single building and home in the city received some kind of damage.
The rebuilding process started slow, but has continued for the last four months.
Rose City Baptist Church has been a hub for many. Pastor Tony Wilcoxson even opening his doors so the church could shelter those who didn't have anywhere else to go.
Wilcoxson made it a mission months ago to bring drywall for those still in need.
On Friday, he made that mission a reality. Driving down to Baytown and loading up 9 trucks with nearly 1,000 sheets of drywall for Rose City's residents.
Wilcoxson says it's the first trip of many, so even if you can't get what you need this time, there will be plenty more.
Right now, to get drywall, you need to be on the list. You can call 409-783-0188 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to be added and determine your need. Check out the church's Facebook page for updates.
