Jefferson County Sheriff's Office: 6 arrested in Nederland meth bust
Six people from mid-Jefferson County face drug charges after sheriff's deputies raided a house in Nederland this week.
The charges range from possession to tampering, according to a news release by the sheriff's office.
Narcotics investigators served a search warrant Wednesday evening at 316 S. 4th Street in Nederland, which deputies say "has been a continued nuisance to the community."
There have been also been two other recent drug arrests from that address, according to the sheriff's office.
Capt. Crystal Holmes released the following information about Wednesday's arrests.
Jefferson County SWAT conducted a takedown of two vehicles in the driveway as other team members entered into the residence. SWAT members caught Dillon Champagne as he was trying to flush Meth down the toilet. The following 6 people were arrested from the home:
Shawn Manning – Age 47 of Nederland - Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana
Dillon Champagne – Age 23 of Nederland – Possession of a Controlled Substance and Tampering with Physical Evidence
Cullen Cannon – Age 33 of Port Neches – Possession of a Controlled Substance
Taylor Crochet – Age 23 of Port Neches – Possession of a Controlled Substance
Melissa Byrom aka Mallett – 36 of Groves - Possession of Marijuana
Kayla Viator – Age 32 of Nederland – Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia
