Lumberton football player required medical attention and flown to hospital
DEVELOPING STORY: A Lumberton High School football player has been flown to a hospital after requiring medical attention during practice tonight. The school district released a statement saying the student's parents are with him. School officials say they appreciate your prayers. The student's name has not been released.
See statement below from the school district:
"This evening during football practice, a Lumberton football player required medical attention from the professional athletic trainer staff. The assessment was made and 911 was called. Lumberton EMS responded and called for a medical flight. The student has been transported at this time. His parents are with him. We appreciate your prayers."
