Man attempting to destroy drugs accidentally burns down house in the process, deputy says
ADKINS, Texas —
A man attempting to get rid of his drugs before getting caught by authorities accidentally set fire to his home Wednesday afternoon, a spokesperson for the Bexar County Sheriff's Office said.
Deputy Leonard Lopez said a bounty hunter was attempting to take a man into custody when the suspect spotted the bounty hunter and tried to get rid of his drugs by lighting them on fire.
Lopez said the man dropped his drugs on the floor, causing the house to catch fire.
Bounty hunters took the man into custody, but it's unclear what he was wanted for.
