Man rescued 70 feet up in tree in Vidor
ORANGE COUNTY —
Beaumont Fire assisted Orange County in rescuing a man who was stuck 70 feet up in a tree at about 5:15 p.m. on Tupelo Street in Vidor.
He was apparently cutting limbs when his legs began getting numb. That's when he realized he needed help getting down.
He was safely brought down and has non-life threatening injuries.
Vidor Police Chief Rod Carroll tells 6 News that the man was cutting down a tree 70 feet off the ground when he became tired.
Beaumont firefighters used aerial units to get him down, Carroll says.
The man refused to be taken to a hospital.
