Hardin County Precinct 6 has a new constable
There's a new constable in Hardin County's Precinct 6.
Hardin County's Commissioner's Court approved Ross Jordan for the position July 31.
He most recently served as the precinct's deputy constable.
Ross started the job Tuesday, and will fill the position until the 2018 elections.
Hardin County Judge Wayne McDaniel says former Precinct 6 Constable Tim Moody resigned, effective July 31, citing health problems.
In August of last year, Moody was indicted on a misdemeanor charge of Abuse of Official Capacity due to a dispute over $350.
That case is still pending litigation.
