Beaumont woman accused of shooting child's father during fight
UPDATE: A 32-year-old Beaumont woman was arrested Monday for aggravated assault on a family member after police say she shot her child's father at a home on Ranier Street.
Beaumont police say Sherecole Wilridge was involved in an altercation with her child's father before retrieving a handgun and shooting him.
Officers responded to the 1200 block of Ranier Street at about 8:26 a.m. in reference to a disturbance.
The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment and his injuries were not considered to be life-threatening.
PREVIOUS: Beaumont PD is investigating a shooting on Ranier Street near Blanchette and 11th streets.
One person was taken to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
There were three children in the home at the time of the shooting, but none of them were injured.
