Search for missing 3-yr-old dad says he left outside at 3 a.m. for not drinking her milk
NORTH TEXAS —
Police in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area have not given up searching for a toddler who went missing ten days ago.
Officers used dogs Tuesday to help comb a field in Dallas and look through trees and brush for clues.
They're searching various locations based on leads and information from their investigation, and officers from other police forces brought in drones to help with the search.
Three-year-old Sherin Mathews hasn't been seen since October 7.
Her adopted father told investigators he sent her outside at 3 a.m. as punishment for not drinking her milk.
The father is charged with child endangerment and has bonded out of jail.
Investigators say he and his wife aren't cooperating or helping look for Sherin.
Volunteers organized their own search of the missing girl's neighborhood and say they're planning more.
