Silsbee High School students remember slain freshman cheerleader
Many at Silsbee High School remembering a freshman cheerleader who was shot to death Sunday. Tuesday there was a balloon release at Silsbee High School.
Tristan Dilley was on the JV cheerleading squad.
Her teammates set up the release and dozens attended.
They dressed in purple and released purple balloons, Dilley's favorite color.
The Jasper County Sheriff says Dilley's 19-year-old boyfriend, Paul Adams Jr. of Vidor, was the person of interest in the murder.
Investigators discovered his body Monday in Orange County. They say he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
