Vidor applying for grant money to repair roads after Harvey
Grant money could be coming to Vidor to repair problems from Tropical Storm Harvey.
The money will go toward fixing roads, specifically in some neighborhoods.
The $350,000 in funding will help take care of problems not dealt with by bigger grants.
The public weighed in at a hearing Thursday night with the Vidor City Council.
Some say the bigger problem causing much of the road problems is drainage.
City manager Mike Kuntz says while it's not a ton of money, it will be helpful.
The grant would come from the Texas Department of Agriculture.
The city is in the process of applying for the grant.
