The farmer was checking his crawfish ponds around 8:30 p.m. when he saw something black and round swimming through his crawfish traps. Sheriff’s deputies arrived and placed 44-year-old James Darrel Dubroc, of Jennings, under arrest for trespassing and theft of crawfish, according to authorities.
Dubroc was wearing black clothing. He was stopped by Jennings police with two sacks of live crawfish in his van Saturday Dubroc was stopped Saturday.
Dubroc has two previous arrests for theft of crawfish from 2011, according to authorities.He was transported to the Jefferson Davis Parish Jail and booked with no bond.

Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff's Office received a call Sunday night from a local crawfish farmer on Highway 90 at Farm Supply Road about subject caught in his crawfish pond. The Farmer was checking his crawfish ponds Sunday night around 8:30pm when he saw something black and round swimming through his crawfish traps. Sheriff's deputies arrived and placed James Darrel Dubroc, 44, of Jennings, under arrest for Trespassing and Theft of Crawfish. Dubroc was dressed in black clothing.
