Beaumont Police and the F.B.I. are investigating a robbery at BBVA Compass Bank off I-10 near 11th Street.

The bank was robbed at about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. Witnesses say the man walked in and said he had a gun. There were several employees and one customer inside the bank at the time of the robbery. No one was hurt.
The man ran out with money and headed east. He dropped some of the cash. A police K-9 helped officers search the area around the bank and the surrounding neighborhood.
Witnesses told police the robber is a black man who was wearing a hoodie and sweatpants.
A robber struck the same bank January 18. David Randall Terrell, 32, of Nederland, is facing federal charges for the robbery as well as the January 15 hold-up of MidSouth Bank on North Main in Vidor. Police say Terrell is also a suspect in the January 19 robbery of Woodforest National Bank inside Kroger on Dowlen.

BPD and the FBI are investigating a robbery that occurred this morning at the BBVA Compass Bank located at 2635 Interstate 10 E.
At about 9:22 am, a man walked into the bank, said that he had a gun, and demanded money. The clerk complied and the robber ran east from the bank with an undetermined amount of cash.
There were several employees and at least one customer inside the bank at the time of the robbery. None of them were physically injured.
Patrol Officers, with the assistance of our K-9 unit, searched extensively for the robber but had not located him at the time of this release.
