The Texas Strikers indoor soccer team is offering it's fans free entrance to their next game, if they attended the first.
Saturday's game was delayed by more than an hour because the soccer goals were late.
"There's some growing pains going on, but we are growing, we're developing and my mantra is I'm going to make some mistakes but I promise we won't make the same mistake twice." Head Coach Topper Cogan told KFDM news.
Practice went on for the Strikers and despite the delays, the team says they're moving on and focusing on the next game.
"We were mostly worried about the fans and we wanted to have everything ready. Other than that we really wanted to come out with eh same type of energy level," Strikers goal keeper Cory Speed said.
"We're actually a good team and we're going to work harder for not just us but for everybody to come and support us a lot more." Jose Olavarriata, Strikers mid fielder says.
Fans also they they understood and have a lot to look forward to.
"To be able to see high quality soccer at Ford Park in Beaumont is a real treat and I think it's fun for me to not have to go that far to watch something like that." Strikers fan Clint Brasher said.
Coach Topper says the goals are now permanently in and encourages all the fans to come out and watch.
The next home Strikers game is Saturday, December 8th at 7:05 p.m. at Ford Park.
If you attended the first home game, Ford Park officials say you can bring in your ticket stub and get free entrance to the game.
