BEAUMONT- PRESS RELEASE-
At 1:13 a.m. on August 19, 2012, Beaumont police officers were dispatched to the Elegante Hotel, 2355 IH 10 South, in reference to assisting off duty Department of Public Safety officers with a large disturbance. The off duty troopers were working an extra job at the hotel, and upon Beaumont officers arrival they requested even more officers because of the large crowd that was becoming unruly. After several attempts to disperse the crowd, officers moved in to take particularly unruly subject into custody, and as they did some of the crowd tried to stop officers from arresting him. Officers then deployed their pepper spray to subdue the crowd and take the subject into custody. A second subject was arrested for the interference with the public duties. By this time only a few people were left in the lobby, but they were still being verbally abusive, and one more was arrested for disorderly conduct. All arrested subjects were transported to the Jefferson County Jail without further incident. ARRESTED SUBJECTS:Albrow, Louis A. 49 yoa, Interfering with Public Duties, Norman, Winston A. 39 yoa,DOC, and Warrants. Norman, Chelsea, DOC. All arrested subjects were from the Houston or Humble Texas area.
