BEAUMONT - From Beaumont Animal Services - As part of the ASPCA Rachael Ray $100K Shelter Challenge, Beaumont Animal Services is celebrating September as "Cat Month". Animal Services will be waiving the adoption fees for any cat or kitten adopted at the Beaumont Animal Shelter, September 4th thru September 28th. The normal rabies vaccination of $15 will still apply to any cat over 3 months of age and all animals will have to be spayed or neutered.

According to the ASPCA, fee-waived adoptions are a huge draw for increasing cat adoptions. This method is "shelter" tested and approved, with more adoptions, less animal returns and great results upon adoption follow-ups.
Also, the public is invited to join Animal Services at the BPD Cops and Kids Carnival on September 15, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m. They will have an informational booth set up with plenty of hand outs for the kids.
Beaumont Animal Services is located at 1884 Pine St, Bmt. 77703, and adoption hours are M - F, 09:00 a.m. till 4:00 p.m.
