HOUSTON – KHOU and www.khou.com - Believe it or not, one Houston-area Best Buy already has a family camping outside of it in advance of the store’s Black Friday event.
They’re waiting for the savings at the store in Meyerland off the 610 Loop.
The Hermanez family says they’re waiting for deals like a $200 laptop, among other things, but they also get in line early as part of their family tradition.
Best Buy is among many retailers opening their doors to shoppers at midnight Thanksgiving night.
KHOU 11’s Tim Wetzel couldn’t help but wake up some of the younger members of the family who were sleeping in a nearby tent.
George, 11, and his older sister camp with their family when they’re not in school. He told KHOU 11’s Tim Wetzel the whole experience is “kind of fun.”
So what does he want out of Black Friday?
“Some video games,” said George, clearly wanting to go back to sleep.
