BEAUMONT - From BISD - Cabinet and Administrative Staff
In light of the tragic news of an elementary school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, please remain vigilant and take time to review our district’s protocol on how we handle visitors at our facilities and campuses. Safety is always a top priority at Beaumont ISD. The district emphasizes keeping students safe at school through strict behavior standards, closed campuses, BISD officers, and campus staff.
We may never know why 18 small children and eight adults at Sandy Hook Elementary lost their lives today at the hands of reportedly two gunmen. However, we are reminded that life is precious, and we should value every moment.
Let’s keep the victims, their families and educators who are dealing with this tragedy in our prayers.
