HOUSTON - From KHOU TV and www.khou.com - An officer investigating a call in north Houston was forced to shoot a homeowner’s dog Tuesday morning after the animal attacked, according to Houston police.
The officer responded to a 911 call at a home on Dogwood Tree at Old Creek around 5:30 a.m.
While the officer was talking to the homeowners, their dog attacked, forcing the officer to pull his gun and open fire.
The dog was hit and ran off into the neighborhood. Neither the dog’s breed nor condition was known.
