The concept is simple: on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, IHOP will give away millions of free pancakes to guests at their restaurants throughout the United States. Anticipating that a delicious short stack of complimentary buttermilk pancakes will spur a generous spirit, each guest will be encouraged to make a voluntary contribution to a local charity.
Now in its eighth year and with more than 1,500 restaurants participating, IHOP hopes to raise $3 million with its National Pancake Day celebration. This amount marks IHOP's goal to bring the total amount of monies raised for local charities to more than $10 million in eight years.
UTMB 5K Run: Another fundraiser to help burn victims is slated for later this month.
The university of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston will hold its "Blocker Burn Champions" 5-k run on February 23rd.
Money raised will help adult burn victims who can't afford medical treatment.
The 5-k run will take place at Moody Gardens.
You can register at http://www.signmeup.com/
The cost is $25 dollars for adults and $10 for childrenPancake fundraiser for burn survivors
