ORANGE COUNTY - State troopers report no injuries in a collision involving a West Orange Cove-CISD school bus and an 18 wheeler in Orange County.
The vehicles collided at about 10 a.m. Thursday near the intersection of FM 1006 and Highway 87.
About 30 students from West Orange Stark High School were going on a field trip involving job shadowing engineers when the collision took place.
Damage to the bus is minor.
The district sent another bus to the scene to allow the students to continue on their field trip. Two students went home.
Troopers say the bus was traveling south on Highway 87 when the driver of the tractor trailer made an unsafe lane change and turned wide from FM 1006 onto Highway 87 and struck the front of the bus.
The driver of the 18 wheeler, a 44-year-old man from Missouri City, was ticketed for an unsafe lane change. He wasn't hurt.
Acadian sent six ambulances when the call was first reported.
