Police arrest naked man they say was high on PCP when he broke windows in family member's home

BEAUMONT - Beaumont Police say they arrested a naked man who was high on PCP when he ran inside a family member's home and broke out windows early Thursday morning.

According to investigators, at 3:54am a patrol officer was responding to a 911 hang up call from a pay phone in the 4000 block of Park. The officer saw a naked man run to a home and break out the windows. The man got inside the house and a woman was able to run outside. Officers surrounded the house and took the man into custody. 

He was taken to a hospital, evaluated and released. He was then transported to the Jefferson County Jail and booked for Criminal Trespassing.

The man was identified as 32-year-old Kendrick Johnson of Beaumont. The residence was a family member's and he had been warned about trespassing.

Police say they're thankful the family member and officers weren't hurt. Investigators say people who're high on PCP pose a serious threat because of their extreme violent actions and drug-induced strength.
