Another hot start for the coast and the lakes. With moisture in place, we could see a repeat of the isolated showers and t-storms as we saw yesterday. Highs today will again reach the lower 90's. By Friday and through the weekend, we will see the moisture out and hot temps on the rise. Look for mid and upper 90's by Sunday and Monday.

Authorities release identity of drowning victim

A 36-year-old man was identified by authorities as the drowning victim discovered during a search and recovery operation in the Neches River Monday morning, according to a news release from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.

Edras Auillo Rios, a Guatemalan national residing in Beaumont, had been missing since Sunday when he went swimming with friends, the release stated.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office Marine Division was participating in a search and recovery operation on the Neches River near Colliers Ferry Park when they discovered his body.
