Lower gas prices hit Texas

Drivers are are feeling a welcome price relief at the pumps as the summer driving season gets underway.

According to AAA Texas, Texans are now paying an average of 3.38 a gallon for regular unleaded fuel.

That's down a nickel from last week.

Nationwide, drivers are paying an average of 3.53 a gallon.
That is seven cents less than one week ago.

And gas prices in Beaumont are the lowest in the state at 3.30 a gallon.
That's a drop of seven cents this week.

Analysts say prices dramatically dropped just weeks after prices soared to new or near record-highs.
