Beaumont Police tell KFDM News a tip to Crime Stoppers helped lead police, Jefferson County Sheriff's Office deputies and U.S. Marshals to Allen J. Hancock, 27, shortly before 2 a.m. at the Super 8 Motel off Highway 69 near I-10 in Beaumont. Officers had a warrant for his arrest on drug charges. He isn't charged in the homicides.

Last week, J.W. Marshall, 32, another man police say they wanted to question about the homicides, surrendered at the Beaumont Police Department.

He was booked into jail on an unrelated parole violation for an aggravated robbery.

On Thursday, June 27 at about 9:30 p.m., several masked men in a dark SUV approached a group of men playing dominoes outside a home in the 1000 block of Prairie Street. The attackers had guns and shot five men. Officers responded to the scene and found three of the gunshot victims dead and two with serious injuries.

If you have any information that will help with the investigation, contact Crime Stoppers at 833-TIPS. You could earn a cash reward and operators won't ask for your name.
