Two killed, two injured in Pecos County accident

A one vehicle rollover injures two and claims the life two others, including a Beaumont teen.

According to DPS troopers, the driver, 24 year old Nicole Hathaway of Allen and the front seat passenger, Sydney Hathaway of Beaumont, attempted to switch positions while the vehicle was moving.

The vehicle left the road and went into a side skid before turning over on the driver's side.

It happened about 5:30 p.m. Monday afternoon in Pecos county in West Texas.

Sydney Hathaway and rear passenger, 4 year old Preston Ray Kramer of Allen were pronounced dead at the scene.

Nicole Hathaway suffered head and extremity injuries and was transported to a hospital along with the other passenger in the backseat, one year old Andrew Hathaway. He also suffered head injuries.

Investigators are withholding filing any charges at this time pending further investigation.

Troopers say Sydney and Nicole were not wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.

Sydney was the president of the ROTC at West Brook High School in 2012.
