A cold front will work through the area tonight reinforcing the nice weather we've had lately. Dry northwest flow aloft will continue keeping the area dry for most of the week. Cool at night and mild to warm days are expected. The next upper system will reach the area next weekend.
News release from Silsbee superintendent
From Silsbee ISD superintendent Richard Bain:
The following paragraph is taken directly out of the Extracurricular Handbook for Silsbee ISD, and represents the view of the district in relation to the expectations for behavior of our student athletes:
Participation in extracurricular activities is a privilege. When students put on the MAROON and WHITE and compete for Silsbee ISD, they are not only representing themselves, they are representing the school and community. Because of this huge responsibility, high expectations are placed on students who choose to represent Silsbee ISD through participation in extracurricular activities. Students must understand that in addition to the campus handbooks and SISD Code of Conduct, more stringent rules may be placed on students who represent the district in extracurricular activities. Students who represent the district will be held to higher standards as they are role models for all other students in the district.
