Investigators say a woman in Nederland died when part of her clothing became caught in a gate and the clothing wrapped around her neck and strangled her.

According to law enforcement officers the 46 year old woman was walking from her unattached garage to her home on Avenue G in Nederland at about 12:30 this afternoon.  Her clothing became caught on a gate that is part of a picket fence between her home and the garage.  The clothing wrapped around her neck and she died from strangulation.
