A cold front will work through the area tonight reinforcing the nice weather we've had lately. Dry northwest flow aloft will continue keeping the area dry for most of the week. Cool at night and mild to warm days are expected. The next upper system will reach the area next weekend.
Gov. Perry Appoints Tracy as District Attorney of Newton County
PRESS RELEASE Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Courtney Tracy of Newton as district attorney of Newton County, effective Oct. 31, 2013 for a term to expire at the next general election.
Tracy is an attorney in private practice and former assistant city attorney for the City of Houston. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, Daughters of the American Revolution, and Daughters of the Republic of Texas. She is also president of the Newton Chamber of Commerce and event chair of the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Newton County.
Tracy received a bachelors degree from Texas A&M University and a law degree from South Texas College of Law.
