Temperatures will be a little cooler tonight into Friday as weak surge of cooler air works in from the northeast. No rain is still expected through the weekend with our next opportunity for rain not until Tuesday as a cool front moves through.
Texas gas prices falling
Gas prices in Texas have fallen four and half cents in the past week averaging 3.10 a gallon.
The national average is now 3.38 a gallon, a drop of four cents per gallon in the last week.
According to www.texasgasprices.com, the lowest prices in Southeast Texas include Citgo, where gas is going for $2.91 a gallon at Gulfway Dr., and Savannah Avenue in Port Arthur.
Chevron on College and I-10 is selling gas for 2.99 a gallon and at Sam's Club on I-10 and Corley it's also going for $2.99.
According to www.gasbuddy.com the odds are good prices will continue to decline in most areas over the next week.
