Police: Woman shoots ex-boyfriend; Man shoots four people

BEAUMONT - There were two separate shootings in Beaumont over the weekend.

Police are searching for a man, they say, shot four people.

It happened off college street in the 500 block of Edgemore near College Street.

Police say a man returned to his Edgemore home shortly before 2 a.m. to find his place ransacked.

Investigators say the man saw another man in the neighborhood that he thought looked suspiciouss, so he tried to question him.

That's when, investigators say, the man pulled out a gun and began shooting at a crowd gathered nearby.

Police found two people shot in the road, another lying in a ditch and a fourth person with a gunshot wound inside a house.

All four shooting victims are expected to be ok.

If you know the whereabouts of the shooter or anything about the case, Beaumont police want to hear from you.

It happened in Beaumont in the 3000 block of Marie Street around 3:30 Sunday morning.

Police say a woman shot her ex-boyfriend twice while he was with his new girlfriend.

Investigators say the woman came to her ex-boyfriend's home and shot him in the leg and shoulder. His injuries are not life threatening.

Police say the man's ex-girlfriend hasn't yet been arrested. The shooting is under investigation.
