Eight injured in house fire

HARDIN COUNTY- Press Release

The Hardin County Sheriffs Office and Silsbee Fire Dept are investigating a house fire that occurred on the 2800 block of Firetower Road near Silsbee. Eight people were injured and  transported to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital by Alpha Rescue and Acadian EMS..  Three of these  were in turn  being transferred to Shriners  Burn Center. The injuries range from smoke inhalation and minor burns to critical injuries to the three. The injured ranged in ages from 1 year of age to 45 years of age. Names are not being released at this time . The cause of the fire is still in the early stages of the investigation. The initial call came into 9-1-1 at  0614  on Sunday 11.24.13 and the first unit on the scene arrived at 0615.
