Two BISD employees could lose jobs
BEAUMONT - By Justin Hinton, KFDM News
Two Beaumont school district administrators could lose their jobs, according to the agenda for Thursdays meeting.
The agenda, posted after the meeting Monday night says the board will consider and, if appropriate, propose termination of director of finance and comptroller during executive session.
The districts director of finance is Devin McCraney. The comptroller is Sharika Allison.
At the beginning of the month, the FBI paid visits to both homes. Two employees were placed on administrative leave following the visit, however, Superintendent Dr. Timothy Chargois would not say whom was placed on administrative leave.
At Mondays meeting, the board did not discuss the possible terminations.
KFDM spoke with Board president Gwen Ambres before the agenda item became public and she had the following to say:
The status of that is still an investigation. No one's been arrested, only some allegations, so it is the district's position that this is a personnel matter and we don't discuss personnel matters in public.
