A dry weather pattern will continue for the next few days with below normal temperatures. In fact, scattered frost can be expected Sunday morning over the Lakes Area. A warming trend will begin early next week with a good coverage of showers and thunderstorms by the middle and later part of next week.
Galveston ferry will temporarily shut down service Saturday morning
GALVESTON From Texas Department of Transportation
Galveston-Bolivar Ferry operations will be closed Saturday, November 16 from 8:00 a.m. to 11 a.m. while a dredge pipe is submerged across the Bolivar landing. The dredge pipe will be used to remove excess material that has built up underwater at the landing site.
During this time ferry operations will be halted and passengers are asked to adjust their travel plans accordingly. For safety reasons this is being performed during daytime hours.
