$1 million scratch-off lottery ticket bought in Jasper
(AUSTIN) - From Texas Lottery Commission
James F. Wise of Jasper claimed a Weekly Grand top prize worth $1,000 per week for 20 years, for a total prize of $1,040,000, before taxes.
With more than $39 million in total prizes, the Weekly Grand scratch-off features overall odds of winning of one in 3.96, including break-even prizes. Wise took home the second top prize in the game. Two top prizes and millions of prizes from $2 to $300 currently remain unclaimed.
For selling the winning ticket, the Jasper Jiffy Market located at 2209 Highway 63 West in Jasper is eligible for a $10,000 retailer bonus.
The claimant requested minimal publicity.
