Update: I-10 reopens at 4:15 following rig fire in Lake Charles

(Update) SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA - I-10 reopened at 4:15 p.m. Friday following an 18 wheeler crash and fire.


SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA - A truck fire has shut down Interstate 10 East from the I-210 spur in Sulphur to the Ryan Street overpass in Lake Charles, according to the Lake Charles Fire Department.


The 18 wheeler crashed and burned at about 8 a.m. Friday on the Ryan Street overpass. The driver was transporting orange juice. He wasn't seriously hurt.


Investigators say I-10 East may remain closed until about 2 p.m.

Traffic on I-10 West is moving slowly.
