Concert benefit for family of Lumberton sisters killed in car crash

A benefit concert will be held next Friday, April 4, for a Lumberton family who suffered a tragic loss when two sisters and the unborn child of one of the sisters were killed in a car crash. The mother of the two sisters was badly injured.

The Lumberton High School Key Club is hosting the event to help raise funds to cover the hospitals bills the Sterling family after the crash killed Courney Sterling, 15, Connely Burns, 20, as well as Burns' unborn baby boy. The girls' mother, Dawn Sterling, was hospitalized due to injuries.

On April 4, the concert benefit will be from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., at the Lumberton High School Commons. A barbecue dinner will be served and entertainment will be provided by Jimmy Kaiser Band and Bryce Shaver.

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the high school or from any Key Club member.

All proceeds will go toward the Friends of the Sterling Family Account.
