Suspect in custody after as many as 20 students stabbed at Pennsylvania high school

MURRYSVILLE, Pa. (CBS News) - Multiple people were stabbed at a high school in the suburbs east of Pittsburgh, officials say.


Officials have confirmed to CBS Pittsburgh that as many as 20 students were stabbed, and four seriously injured, at Franklin Regional High School in Murrysville, and that a suspect is in custody.


There's no word if the suspect is a student or adult.


Three air medical helicopters have been dispatched to the scene as well as dozens of ambulances.


According to a witness, the stabbings happened in the science wing of the building.


Franklin Regional school district has canceled all elementary classes and say that high school and middle school students are secured.
