A good coverage of rain can be expected tonight into Friday as a rather strong upper level disturbance moves in from the west. Some of the rains Friday will be locally heavy with the potential for 1-2 inches of rain in some spots. Drier and cooler air will take over Friday night into Sunday.
School shooting in Ohio
COLUMBUS, OHIO - Sinclair TV station WSYX in Columbus, Ohio is reporting that two people were injured in a shooting at an elementary school.
A 14-year-old boy was transported to Nationwide Children's Hospital and a 20-year-old man was taken to Grant Medical Center, according to the Columbus Fire Department. The extent of their injuries has not been confirmed.
The television station reports one person is in custody.
The elementary school was placed in a level-three lockdown, which meant that not students were being dismissed until the situation was resolved. By 4:30 p.m., some Columbus police officers were assisting with dismissing some students.
Police have yet to comment on the exact nature of the shooting; including whether it actually occurred on school property.
