School shooting in Ohio

COLUMBUS, OHIO - Sinclair TV station WSYX in Columbus, Ohio is reporting that two people were injured in a shooting at an elementary school.

A 14-year-old boy was transported to Nationwide Children's Hospital and a 20-year-old man was taken to Grant Medical Center, according to the Columbus Fire Department. The extent of their injuries has not been confirmed.

The television station reports one person is in custody.

The elementary school was placed in a level-three lockdown, which meant that not students were being dismissed until the situation was resolved. By 4:30 p.m., some Columbus police officers were assisting with dismissing some students.

Police have yet to comment on the exact nature of the shooting; including whether it actually occurred on school property.
