Just a few showers and thunderstorms will be possible over the next few days due mainly to daytime heating.  A much better coverage of rain can be expected Thursday into Friday as a cold front moves in from the northwest.  This front will bring us cooler and drier air over the weekend.

Missing woman found

UPDATE: Anna Sanchez has been located in Beaumont, according to Sgt. Rob Flores.

BEAUMONT - Beaumont police are searching for a missing woman and investigators say they have concerns about her safety.

Beaumont patrol officers have been searching for Anna Rosa Sanchez, 25.

Police say Anna, who suffers from schizophrenia, ran away from Baptist Hospital while she was receiving an MRI prior to being admitted into the hospital. She is in need of medicine for her illness and is suicidal.

Baptist personnel last saw Anna at about 2:00 p.m. Wednesday. She is described as a Hispanic female, about 5'00" tall, weighing between 140-150 pounds, with long black hair. She was last seen wearing a multi-colored shirt and black pants. She lives in Port Arthur but officers believe she may still be in Beaumont.

Police consider Anna to be an endangered missing person and ask that any person who may see her or who knows her whereabouts phone the BPD non-emergency number at 832-1234.
