PAPD: Safety seat may have saved child from injury

PORT ARTHUR - Police are gathering information about a collision in which a child safety seat may have prevented serious injuries to a young boy.

Port Arthur police say the child was buckled up in a safety seat when the driver of the car he was in collided with a Ford Friday afternoon in the 2500 block of Memorial Boulevard.

Paramedics transported the child and two adults in the same car to Christus Hospital St. Mary.

Police say no one was seriously injured.
