Reward offered for returned dog

ORANGE COUNTY - By Justin Hinton, KFDM News

An Orange County man is looking forward to reuniting with his dog after he says someone stole him from his backyard overnight.

His chain and everything was gone, said Thomas Sonnier.

He says the culprit even used a package of meat to lure him out, which was left behind.

I just want my dog back. I don't care who you are. I'd appreciate it if you got the kindness in your heart to bring him back, because I really value this dog. I really do, said Sonnier.

Sonnier got his dog Titus about 8  months ago, when the dog was 6 months old.

He says he had just gone through a divorce and Titus came right on time.
Definitely a good companion, he said.

Sonniers nephew Steven Richardson would play baseball with the pit bull.

He says he would hit the ball and Titus would chase it.

Even, if it took him a while to find it, he would always retrieve it, though he wouldnt necessarily give it back, Richardson said.

At times, Richardson says, the dog would even grab the bat from the table and bang it on the ground until someone came to play.

A $1,000 reward has been offered to the person who brings Titus to the Humane Society of Southeast Texas located in Beaumont. No questions will be asked.

Titus, I miss you man, said Sonnier. I miss you dude. I hope someone brings you back home.
